A FUN COMMUNITY EVENT RAISING FUNDS FOR SNOWSUIT FUND AND SJAM WINTER TRAILS.
Location: Remic Rapids off the Sir John A. McDonald Parkway by the Ottawa river
10:00 am 1km Ski Scurry (age 10 and under)
10:30 am 5km Ski Scoot (age 10 to grandparent!)
11:30 am 5km Fatbike Blast
Registration requested as numbers are limited
- FREE for children 10 years and younger, participants will receive a ski bib (link here)
- $10 for all other participants (link here for ski and here for fatbike)
- Please pick-up bib between 9-9:45 for those who are pre-registered (ski events) and between 10:30-11:15 am (bike event)
Onsite registration for the ski events will be available from 9:00-9:45 am (ski) and 10:30-11:15 am (bike) however we strongly encourage you to register in advance.
Donations are welcome in person or through the registration link. All proceeds are split between the ongoing operation of the SJAM winter trail and the snowsuit fund. (Please make cheque payable to “Dovercourt Recreation Association” and write “SJAM Winter Sports” on the memo line)

THE SJAM IS A UNIQUE AND PRECIOUS ADDITION TO OTTAWA WINTER LIFE – WHERE ELSE CAN YOU SKI TO WORK?!
The SJAM is a groomed multi-use winter trail along Sir John A. Macdonald (SJAM) multi-use pathway that will promote active living, provide access to the Ottawa River shoreline, and welcome a diversity of users, whether they are walking, on skis, snowshoes or a snow bike. The salt-free trail will respect environmental sensitivities unique to the river shoreline.
