With the cold weather here to stay and everyone bringing out their winter clothing, the Social Committee would like to announce our fundraiser for the Ottawa Snowsuit Fund. This winter in Ottawa, there will be over 16,000 children (aged 0 to 15 years old) in need of snow suits. The Snowsuit Fund is a local Ottawa-based charity that distributes snow suits to the children of low-income parents and guardians.
If you have any winter-wear that you have been looking to donate, there will be a box in the Lunch Room beginning November 20th until December 14th. Donations will be dropped off to the Snowsuit Fund on December 15, 2023.
All donations must be laundered and in good condition prior to donating. Preferred articles of clothing for children aged 0 to 15 years old are:
- Winter jackets
- Snow pants
- Scarves
- Hats
- Mittens/gloves
