Trish and her family immigrated to Canada in the early 1970s and she grew up in Montreal. From an early age, she understood the need and importance of warm clothes to brave Canadian winters. The youngest of three, she had a lot of hand me down coats! Trish came to Ottawa for post secondary and fell in love with the city. She joined The Ottawa Police Service in 1995, with a view to serve and give back to her adopted city.

In June 2023, after a nation-wide recruitment process, Trish was appointed Deputy Chief of The Ottawa Police Service.

Trish is an enthusiastic member of the Snowsuit Fund Board and is especially excited to be a co-chair with Mike Leggett and Julie Findlay for the annual Snow Angel Challenge!

As a police officer who has worked across the city of Ottawa, she has seen first hand the need for the SSF.  In volunteering with the SSF she has also seen the impact a warm coat can have on a child’s life.
