Hope Volleyball Summerfest Ottawa

The Snowsuit Fund is thrilled to announce that we are one of the recipient charities for 2022 H.O.P.E. Volleyball SummerFest.

Helping Other People Everywhere (H.O.P.E.) puts on an amazing event every year with great volleyball games, sun, sand, multiple food options and loads of entertainment both via the HOT Lounge & the H.O.P.E. Mainstage. What started in 1982 as a small group of teams, has grown into the world’s largest one day volleyball tournament and has continued to support local charities in Ottawa.

Much like H.O.P.E., The Snowsuit Fund is a volunteer driven organization relying on the dedication of our seasonal staff, volunteer Board of Directors and the countless caring groups and individuals who give their time, money and talent to help The Snowsuit Fund helps those less fortunate. Together we bring dignity and hope to families who simply do not have the means to provide their children with the necessities for living.

We keep our administrative costs low and focus our financial resources on purchasing snowsuits which means the entire $10,000 provided by H.O.P.E will be used to purchase brand new snowsuits for local kids in need. In a typical season, we distribute 16,000 or more new snowsuits to 5,600 qualifying families. The benefits from having a brand new snowsuit go well beyond keeping a child warm. It builds self-esteem and confidence in a child and provides them with a feeling of fitting in with peers. The ripple effect of this benefits the entire family.
